MAO WEN BIAO
Mao was born in Beijing and in 1984 he moved
to London to study at the Royal College of
Art. Over the past 30 years he has gained an
international reputation for his monumental
paintings and murals. In London, he has murals
Daffodils, oil on canvas, 75 x 110 cm at The Ritz, The RAC and Holland Park. His
most most impressive arguably is in the Bejing
National Museum of Art, commissioned by the
Chinese Government.
As well as firmly establishing himself as
a world leader in Sporting Art, with his
extraordinary ability in capturing the dynamism
of the racehorse, Mao is also captivated by the
horticultural world and this painting showcases
talent for depicting the coming of Spring.
