From one eighth life size to monumental landscape sculptures, Frippy Jamesons bronze equine and figurative works expose the delicate relationship between strength and fragility
Frippy Jameson studied Fine Art Sculpture at Camberwell College of Art and Design and City & Guilds of London Art School, The Portland Sculpture Trust, Tout Quarry. She came to sculpture through her first tutor, ceramicist Richard Dzadiek who shared his extensive knowledge of clay and casting. Jameson combined teaching art in schools before turning to sculpting-full time as her talent gained global recognition.
Having established a national reputation for life-sized sculptures of people and animals, Frippy was the recipient of the 2024 Society of Portrait Sculptors Lockbund Award for Sculpture, for her life-sized sculpture, Flora.
Frippy lives and works from her studio in the Scottish Borders.
