But, in my mind there is little more visually stunning than watching a horse in full flight.'

Sam has always been passionate about animals and this is clearly reflected in her work. She is particularly keen on capturing movement and the true essence of the animal she is portraying. This could be in a variety of mediums - charcoal, pastel, oil paint or in plastilin, depending on which medium best reflects the subject.
Sam has travelled widely in search of interesting and varied subject matter - from African subjects in Kenya, Tanzania and South Africa, to camels in UAE, giant tortoises in the Seychelles and buffalo in Wyoming.
She has been fortunate to study with some of her wildlife artist heroes, including Neil Forster and Mark Coreth, as well as spending some years in Florence pursuing a classical portrait training.
From her studio in Hampshire, Sam is currently working on a variety of commissions. She has work in a multitude of private collections and enjoys working with many repeat clients. Her commissions are renowned for capturing the spirit, mood and personalities of her subjects, which she brings to life with energetic commitment.
