Geoffrey started his career in the art world in auction houses, firstly at Bonhams and then with Sotheby’s in the UK, South Africa and the US. Upon his return from South Africa in 1986, he and a business partner set up the Osborne Studio Gallery, named after the celebrated bronze sculptor James Osborne. Since the OSG’s inception forty years ago, Geoffrey has overseen the gallery through over 400 exhibitions. At first, these stayed true to Geoffrey’s passion for horses and the racing world, but in more recent years, he has brought together exhibitions that celebrate wildlife and landscape artists too. The gallery now represents some of the world’s leading equestrian, landscape, and figurative, artists and sculptors.
Geoffrey is a trustee of the Sir Peter O’Sullevan Charitable Trust and a former trustee of World Horse Welfare.
